September was the month of Time Registration in Epix, with employees now able to clock in and out straight from their home page and see their whole month at a glance. We also introduced recurring workflows, gave you more control over cost centers and employers, and made payroll closure and handover more transparent and reliable. Here's everything that's new.

⏱️ Time Registration Is Here

Say goodbye to paper sheets and spreadsheets. Time registration is now built right into Epix.

• ‍Clock In and Out from Your Home Page - A new card on the home page lets employees start their day, take a break, end a break, and clock out in a few clicks.
• ‍Visual Daily Timeline - Shifts and breaks are shown at their real times, so the day is clear at a glance.
• ‍Your Month in One Calendar - Employees can see all their registered hours for the month in one clear calendar view.
• ‍Time Registration on Contracts - Administrators can view an employee's time registration calendar directly on their contract.
• ‍Smart Defaults and Settings - Set a default time registration policy per pay group and choose the time zone per employer. Night shifts that run past midnight are now attributed to the correct day.

🔄 Workflows & Automation

Epix Workflows keeps getting more powerful.

• ‍Recurring Workflows - Set workflows to run automatically on a repeating basis: weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly.
• ‍Protected Published Workflows - Once a workflow is published, its scope can no longer be edited by accident.

🏢 Organisation & Cost Centers

More flexibility in how you structure and manage your organisation.

• ‍Cost Center Management in Epix - Manage cost centers directly within Epix, with more flexibility across your organisation.
• ‍Dedicated Cost Center per Employer - Employers can now have their own dedicated cost center enabled.
• ‍New Employer Overview - A new overview page brings together key information about your employers in one place.

🔐 Payroll Closure, Handover & Sync

More transparency and reliability in the steps around your payroll close.

• ‍See Who Closed a Payroll Run - Completed closures now show the name of the person who finished them.
• ‍Automatic, Reliable Closures - Payroll closures now complete automatically once all related exports have finished.
• ‍Flexible Handovers - Decide how many days a handover task has before it is due, and benefit from separate permissions for customers and service providers.
• ‍Smarter HCM Sync - Set a default pay group per employer as a fallback, and get a clear warning instead of a sync that starts with nothing configured.
