May was a landmark month for Epix. We launched our new AI-powered assistant, expanded self-service capabilities with company car history and compliance tracking, and delivered a wave of integration reliability improvements. Here's everything that's new.

🤖 AI-Powered Assistance

- Epix AI Assistant — A new AI assistant is now available directly inside Epix, offering context-aware documentation search scoped to the screen you're working on. Get instant answers without leaving the platform or digging through external docs — we're building a deeper AI integration into the platform. Stay tuned for early access announcements.

💼 Self-Service Enhancements

- Company Car History — Employees can now view a full overview of their past and current company cars directly from the self-service home screen — no HR involvement needed for routine car history questions.

- Work Permit Tracking — Work permit numbers can now be recorded on contracts, making it easier to track compliance information for international and migrant workers.

- Redesigned Self-Service Navigation — The self-service homepage has a refreshed navigation layout for a cleaner, more intuitive experience. The monthly calendar view is also restored to the employee home screen.

⚙️ Workflows & Automation

- Human Task Assignment — Early-stage Workflows functionality now supports assigning human tasks within a workflow, enabling approval steps and manual handoffs as part of automated processes.

🔗 Integrations & API

- Open API: Work Schedule History — Partners and integrators can now create and update work schedule history via the Open API, enabling richer workforce data synchronisation.

- Per-Tenant HCM Sync Controls — HCM synchronisation configuration is now more granular, with per-tenant controls that give administrators finer control over what gets synced and when.

- Integration Reliability Fixes — Resolved connectivity and data issues across ProPay, Apideck (employment dates), Personio (HCM IDs), and Nmbrs (setup errors) for more consistent payroll and HCM data flows.

- Enriched Contract API Endpoints — Contract endpoints now return richer data, improving what integration partners can build on top of the Epix API.

📊 Performance & Reliability

- Faster Payroll for Large Organisations — Payroll data loading is now paginated, significantly improving processing performance for organisations with large employee counts.

- Calendar Entry Comments — Calendar entries now support comments, providing richer context for schedule events and shift notes.

- Workforce Analytics Fixes — Analytics flags now display correctly in detail views, ensuring your reporting data is accurate and actionable.

🛠️ Administration & Access

- User Search by Name — Administrators can now search for users by first and last name in the management interface, making it faster to locate and manage accounts.

- SSO Logout Fix — Users signing in via Single Sign-On (SSO) no longer see a logout option that had no effect, removing a source of confusion.

- Permission Display Fix — Approval permission inheritance is now displayed correctly, giving administrators a reliable view of access structures.
