Oct 23 🍁 Epix Product updates 🚀

Product updates

In september, the first leaves 🍁 started falling from the trees. This didn't stop our Paybix development team to create new features for Epix. Our tree 🌳 keeps on growing!

Curious about the most recent features and what’s coming next? Keep on reading!

General topics and improvements 💄

  • We’ve updated some screens and layouts to create a better look & feel when resizing to smaller screen sizes.
  • On the calculated data tab for a personal contract, the 'h' was not always shown in case of an 'hour' type.
  • And of course some minor bug fixes all over Epix.

Custom provider features🌍

We opened up the possibility to activate all country specific validations, custom fields and dropdowns for any country! When you create a custom provider for a given country, everything works the same as for our default partner. From now on, it is also possible to add new providers to the list with their own dropdown values, validations and custom fields! And this not only for the EU!

Person🧑& Contract 💼

Contracts

  • A contract that's been archived, will no longer be visible. All possible actions on that contract are removed.

Pay components

  • When entering a new pay component, a default end date is suggested to prevent the addition of paycomponents for a long period of time by mistake. Of course, this end date can be altered or removed if necessary.

Calendar

  • When you add personal days to a calender on contract level, days without a workschedule are not taken into scope. Also people working part time are taken into account.
  • You now can delete a day definition entry. This was not yet possible.

Car management 🚗

  • We've added a new widget on the home screen. It appears when the end date of the usage of a company car is <90 days, or when the car that is linked to a person has and end date <90 days. This way you always see when cars will be end of lease and you should take some action. You can click through on the wizard to go directly to the person or the car.

Payroll closure localization 🔁

  • For the orginal closure: we now only show the pay components that start in the current month, because they are the changes against last month. The generic excel shows all pay components for a given month.
  • All Epix lists are now default sorted by last name.
  • The content of the person/contract tab in the closure wizard has been changed to reflect the same information as shown in the excel file.
  • We've moved the cancellaton of a process to the menu item in the list instead of the wizard itself.
  • The export now contains a new specific field for German contracts.

Analytics and reporting📊

  • We show the active filters on top of the workforce and labour analytics, because it was not always clear that there was an active filter. The filter can also be removed.

Import/Export 🔃

  • We've added the search for an external (HCM) code in the pay component import.
  • When importing payroll codes, there are a few flags that are optional. We changed the default behaviour when they are not provided in the file to reflect what is generally expected.

Absence self-service ⛱ - released but not yet accessible for endusers

In our September release notes, we've announced that we released internally the first features of the self service module. Now, there are already some additional features available (for internal use and testing). We will be able to launch a first version of our self service to our early-adopter customers.

  • The calculation structure for leave balances has been finalised.
  • The day details for an end user are available when clicking on a calendar day. Also in case the employee has multiple contracts, the day details show the active contract for that day.
  • The team calendar is ready in a first version, where people can see multiple teams if they are part of more than one team.
  • We've changed our user management of Epix to show self service users as well.

Note: the absence selfservice is behind a feature toggle, meaning this is already released into production for every customer, but the buttons are hidden except in our demo environment. So if you want a preview or a demo of the current situation, please let us know and we will show you the current features!

Information about feature releases

Remember, the list above gives an overview of the features and bugfixes we released in the previous month. We release in a continuous deployment so we can even deploy multiple times a day if necessary where bugfixes have a high prio to be solved.

Every release goes to a development phase where the new feature is tested by hand. All the development tests are run to make sure we didn't break anything else. Then the release goes toe acceptance, where a huge set of user tests are done. When they are 'green' we deploy this version to production. Everything is just 1 approval step and no manual work!

What’s coming up?

Employee self service to request absences ⛱

We keep on working towards our goal to release the self service module to all customers by the end of december. Our own team and some early adopters might gain access before that time.

Payroll closure localization 🔃

Specific localization and exports will be added continuously.

Pay component management🪙

We are working on a mass pay component management. There is already the possibilty to import mass pay components, but we are working on a wizard to manage them within Epix.
