Dec 25: Paybix Product updates

🚀 Epix Product Updates — December 2025

December was a strong month for Epix, focusing on a refreshed user experience, improvements in Self Service capabilities, expanded international payroll coverage, and several important stability and usability enhancements. Below is an overview of the key updates.

🎨 UX & Platform Improvements

Refreshed UI & UX

  • The Epix theme has been updated with a modernized design, improving readability, visual consistency, and overall ease of use across the platform.
  • This new design lays the foundation for upcoming UI improvements throughout Epix.

Improved User Role Visibility

  • The user list now clearly displays main roles (such as Admin), making access rights more transparent and simplifying user and permission management.

📱 Self Service Enhancements

New Self Service Home Screen
The Self Service homepage has been redesigned to give employees a clearer and more actionable overview:

  • A new Balance chart
  • A Pending requests widget
  • A My requests widget
These improvements help users quickly understand their current status and outstanding actions.

Civil State Updates via Self Service

  • Employees can now update their civil state directly from Self Service (if enabled in employer settings).
  • Similar to address changes, users can specify from which date the new civil state applies, ensuring correct historical data.

Clearer Contract Information

  • The Employee Type and Population Type labels on the Contract widget have been split.
  • This makes contract details easier to understand and reduces confusion when managing employee contracts.

Restricted Access After Contract End

  • When an employee leaves the company, Self Service access is now automatically restricted.
  • Within 24 hours after a contract ends, the user is placed in an out-of-service state, allowing access only to documents linked to their contracts.

🌍 Integrations & Ecosystem Expansion

Continued HCM Integration Work

  • We continue to actively develop and refine our HCM integrations. This ongoing work ensures smoother data exchange, better alignment with external HR systems, and a stronger foundation for scalable, end-to-end HR and payroll workflows.

New Payroll Provider: ASB (Hungary)

  • ASB has been added as a new payroll provider for Hungary, expanding Epix’s supported payroll integrations and local coverage.

Public API (Coming Soon)

  • Work has started on a public Epix API, enabling external applications and providers to integrate with Epix.
  • The API will support both read and write operations, opening the Epix ecosystem for broader integration scenarios.

🛠️ Stability, Bug Fixes & Technical Improvements

Alongside larger initiatives, several important fixes and enhancements were delivered:

  • Fixed an issue where imported contract end dates were not saved correctly.
  • Added auto-suggestion for the next available person number when creating a new person.
  • Resolved an issue where backend jobs (such as payroll closures) incorrectly used user settings instead of system settings.
  • Upgraded the Nmbrs integration to a new, improved package for better stability and future compatibility.

✔️ That’s a wrap for December!

December wrapped up the year with meaningful improvements across usability, self-service, and platform foundations. These updates not only make daily work in Epix smoother and clearer for users, but also prepare the platform for upcoming integrations and ecosystem expansion.
